  • As a shop manager I was responsible for running the day to day operations of this local IT shop.

    My responsibilities

    👉 Central point of contact for the customers

    👉 Procuring IT systems

    👉 Helping in the repair center

    👉 Selling IT systems to the shop visitors.

  • Started as an internal sales.

    Where I witnessed for the first time a live move of a workload with the drop of 1 ping. Mindblowing technology back then.🤯

    I had the opportunity to quickly evolve to a product specialist role. My business development focus was HP blade technology and VMware.

  • I was responsible for selling enterprise solutions as part of the account teams.

    My customers where amongst others: Colruyt, Atlas Copco, Alcopa, D'Ieteren, LMS,…

    I also build multiple solutions based on VMware Site Recovery Manager, Equalogic, Dell servers as Proof of Concept.

  • I was asked to start Dell business at RealDolmen. I started by laying down a business plan and tried to execute on it.

    Also building up service capabilities to implement the different solutions was part of my daily tasks.

  • As the first vArchitect in BeLux, I worked on multiple multi million dollar deals. We’ve pioneered the space of converged infrastructure.

    For the first time technology was not the focal point of our offering. It was the operational efficiency that was our selling point.

    As this was a very different story than most of the hardware infrastructure vendors we were engaged in several Top 10 customers in Belgium.

  • As VMware was always a continuous part of my career. I’ve always admired the company for pioneering virtualisation. As part of the vSAN team I worked on the hyper converged software as a Benelux team member. As I was the first pre-sales with this role I’ve defined the cornerstones of the vSAN business in the Benelux region.

    As virtual storage was at its first steps when I joined the team we were a start-up culture within a massive company. I’ve seen the team grow from 25 people in EMEA to over 300.

    At VMware I was also part of the extended management team for the Benelux.

  • As I always had a passion for partners and growth plans I decided in 2020 to join the partner team. This was a real struggle as we had multiple declining partners in the portfolio. The partners were representing about 15% of the VMware revenue in Belux.

    I decided to radically change the course. Moving from over 10 managed partners to 5 managed partners. Also removing focus from business as usual but moving the focus to the business that was a strategic growth area for VMware (NSX, vRealize, end-user portfolio,…)

    With this shift in partners and focus we were able to start growing multiple partners with a +30% YoY. Every 6 months we re-evaluated the plans and the partners and decided our goal for the next 6 months. This worked very well and I must admit I’m proud of what we accomplished in that time.

    Next to the growth plans I also created soft skill academies for partner sales and pre-sales and continued my work in the VMware community ramping up from 6 tot +30 vExperts.

  • in 2022 it was time to make a giant leap.

    I decided to say the VMware goodbye and start my own business as freelancer.

    I worked for Cronos as FinOps Architect and Managing Partner.

    At this moment I’m working for Devoteam as FinOps Architect

  • I had various roles in 1 year time at Cronos. I started an initiative as managing partner around multi-cloud where FinOps was the core offering. I joined another inniative as FinOps Architect and practice lead. As a practice lead, I created an entire portfolio of services linked to FinOps. From workshops to trainings to actual programs to build your FinOps Practice.
